Hazardous substance detection
Examine and assess Hazardous substances (NBC/CBRN) can enter our environment on a daily basis and thus become a major hazard to the population – whether by intent or as a result of an accident. They exist in the form of solid, liquid and gaseous material, in household or industrial processes. For this reason, precautions must be taken to quickly detect hazardous substances should a hazardous situation arise.
RAPID ANALYSIS OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
Civil defense first responders or local fire departments, if equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, can quickly identify potential hazardous materials and determine their risk to the general public. Components of this equipment may include mobile detection equipment such as Rigaku’s Raman spectrometer or remotely operated robots equipped with hazardous material (HAZMAT) sensors. The earlier hazardous substances or materials are reliably identified and correctly assessed, the easier it is to take measures to contain sources of danger.
