Dummy explosive ordnance
Replicas for realistic simulationThe professional disposal of explosive ordnance is an extremely complex task. It requires the utmost care and experience to safely dispose of the remains of past armed conflicts. A wide range of hazardous objects, including bombs, grenades and ammunition, must be removed during explosive ordnance clearance and disposal. In addition, parts of objects containing explosive or chemical substances, such as “unexploded bombs” – unexploded bombs that pose a continuing danger – must also be disposed of.
Responsibility for civilian explosive ordnance disposal is entrusted to the local regulatory authorities, which specialize in the removal of explosive ordnance from past world wars. Military explosive ordnance disposal, on the other hand, focuses mainly on the removal of ammunition and found munitions from the post-war period.
The continuous development of defusing technology and its application require regular training and further education. It is particularly important to simulate realistic defusing and probing situations with highly realistic dummies.
