Chemring M5 Hornet DisruptorThe M5 Hornet is a powerful EOD disruptor that can neutralize a wide range of threats. This includes both conventional threats such as unexploded ordnance (UXB) and unconventional threats such as improvised explosive devices (C-IED). The system is cost-effective to maintain thanks to the compatibility of all firing variants and projectiles with just one type of barrel and cartridge. OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE AND COMPATIBILITY
The M5 Hornet is based on the globally proven RE70M3+ disruptor, which has been optimized through targeted improvements in performance and ease of maintenance. A particular strength is its backwards compatibility with the CTSL disruptors currently in use, allowing existing projectiles and consumables to continue to be used. Chemring Technology’s recoilless disruptor systems
are used worldwide and have proven their reliability in numerous applications. REBOUND-FREE VERSATILITY
Thanks to its recoilless design, the M5 Hornet is ideal for use on UGV and UAV platforms. All recoilless disruptors can be used with both DTSL detonators and electronic ignition systems. FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION AND EASY TRANSPORT
The system can be mounted on a continuously adjustable aluminum tripod, which allows precise alignment to different threat scenarios. SPOT X-DiS INTEGRATION
Alternatively, it can be installed directly on the Spot walking robot from Boston Dynamics using the innovative Spot X-DiS disruptor integration from ELP, for example. The entire standard M5 disruptor kit has a compact design and is transported in a lightweight, handy soft bag.
